Glow plugs are one of the most important components when trying to start a diesel in cold weather. Worn or inoperative glow plugs can cause a hard start or even check engine lights on today’s newer trucks.

Notes:

• These ceramic glow plugs should not be used if they are dropped or else engine damage will occur
• Whenever replacing a ceramic glow plug, it is required to use a glow plug hole bore cleaning tool to remove the soot build up on the inside of the glow plug hole. If not, when installing a new glow plug, the soot could “side load” and induce a premature failure. Recommend using tool DMAX-GPRT/EN-52074 Glow plug bore reamer.
