The factory Duramax crank uses a very small roll pin to hold the balancer and gear in place. The camshaft also uses a small roll pin to hold the gear in place. These small roll pins easily shear off causing catastrophic engine damage.

By Installing our performance high strength tool steel key ways you can help eliminate these failures and keep your engine running for a long time even at higher performance levels.

*Requires a machine shop to modify cam and crankshaft.
