These cap was designed specifically to fit the 2.8L Duramax Diesel Trucks and threads right into the factory filler neck. It is constructed of T6 6061 Aluminum and is anodized in green for fuel and anodized blue for DEF to protect them from corrosion and to give you that extra reminder to where each fluid goes. We designed the fuel cap to have multiple different mounting solutions for all of the 2.8L Duramax trucks, we offer a factory style tether for those who would like to mimic the factory solution that hangs the cap off the hook on the fuel door, we also decided to add a set of magnets to the cap for those of you who don’t want to deal with the tether, and we also have a gap in the top to allow you to hang the actual fuel cap on the hook if you have a 2020+ Duramax that has a plastic fuel door. No more losing your fuel cap off your bed rail after forgetting it when filling up your Duramax Truck. The DEF Cap is a high quality replacement for your factory cap, providing improved durability, functionality and a touch of style to your Duramax. A magnet is built into the cap for easy storage during fill ups.
