The KDF85-03-10BB filter cartridge contains Coconut Shell GAC for reducing chlorine taste and odor, along with three pounds of KDF 85 media. This media is designed to reduce iron and hydrogen sulfide in municipal or other water supplies to the cartridge’s rated capacity, while also helping control scale, bacteria, and algae due to its bacteriostatic properties.
